The Favi E1-LED-Pico can't be beat when it comes to the battery life, but is on the low end of the line when it comes to the picture quality because of the low brightness and small image size. While this mini projector isn't the best choice when you have a large presentation to give, it will suit your needs in a pinch.
This mini projector has a native resolution of 640 x 480 but can reach upwards of 720 x 480. The projection type is LCoS. One of the limitations of this product is the small image size. It can only project images between 5 and 20 inches. This is a lot smaller than the other products we looked at. The aspect ratio is 4:3 and the contrast ratio is only 200:1. The brightness is 12 ANSI lumens, which means you will need a dark room in order to see the picture very clearly.
Though the picture quality isn't as high as other portable projectors, it does have a lot going for it in the way of the available ports. It comes with ports for composite A/V, headphone and mini USB. There's also an SD slot. This mini projector doesn't require a manufacturer-specific battery to run, but it also means the batteries aren't rechargeable through an AC adapter. By using four standard AA batteries, the projector will run for up to six hours. This is the best battery time we have seen for any of the micro projectors we reviewed.
This mini projector boasts a long lamp life, built-in speaker and internal memory. The lamp life of this product is 20,000 hours. We were pleased with the 0.5W speaker located on the side of the unit. If this isn't enough, you can always hook up external speakers through the headphone jack. The internal memory was also a nice bonus that you don't always see on other pocket projectors. Interestingly, you access the projector's internal memory through the USB port. With 1GB of memory, this product will hold several presentations so you don't have to worry about bringing along another device when you need to make a presentation away from your home base. This mini projector measures only 4.5 x 2.3 x 1.1 inches and weighs a minuscule quarter of a pound. This is one the lightest products that we reviewed.
This mini projector is fairly straightforward. Not only does it come with a remote, which makes things easier, but it also includes a tripod. Between these two accessories, you won't have to worry too much about the location of your presentation.
The Favi E1-LED-Pico projector is a useful product with an extraordinarily long battery life. The battery life, number of ports and included tripod make it a handy little product to take with you. However, if you'll need to project a large image, be aware that this mini projector doesn't have a large image size available.
Pros
The batteries can last up to six hours in this mini projector.
Cons
The brightness of this projector is dim at only 12 ANSI lumens.
This product is great when you don't have access to an outlet.
